Terin Cremer, J.D., MBA

Board Member

Terin Cremer is the managing partner of Barbas Cremer, PLLC, a boutique employment and business law firm. There she helps employers and senior level executives with everything from finding the right person for an open position, firing the wrong person, and every contract and policy a business could encounter along the way.  Terin works with businesses across the country on issues related to human resources and client contracting. 

 

Prior to forming Barbas Cremer, Terin was the Chief Human Resources Officer and Associate General Counsel of a St. Petersburg financial services company employing over 20,000 employees. While at that company Terin joined the C-suite at the age of 29. There Terin led HR strategies and operations. She also managed a variety of legal matters including litigation, transactional, governance, and employment matters. Some notable accomplishments there included implementing a companywide HRIS system, overhauling the company’s benefits programs, and contracting with a telecommunications company resulting in millions of dollars in savings for the company’s clients. 

 

Cremer has also worked at a boutique labor and employment firm. Prior to that, she worked under Governors Crist and Scott for the State of Florida coordinating a statewide legal team defending legislation she helped draft for the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities as a Gubernatorial Fellow.

 

Cremer is a founding Board Member of Adelphi Trust, the only women owned and led Trust company in the state of Florida. Cremer gives back to the community holding leadership positions with Leadership Florida, the Junior League of Tampa, Academy of the Holy Names Alumni Association, and AMI Kids. Terin is on the Board of Directors for Centro Asturiano de Tampa, and Florida State University College of Business.  Cremer is also a mayoral appointee to the City of Tampa’s Civil Service Board where she served as an administrative judge resolving City of Tampa employment disputes. Terin has been recognized as an Alumni of the Year by the FSU College of Business, Legal Elite by Florida Trend, Florida Super Lawyer, Thirty Under 30 FSU alum, and by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as an Up and Comer Hall of Famer (highest award given).  

 

Terin graduated from the University of Notre Dame with her B.B.A.,  and received her J.D. and M.B.A. from Florida State University. While at Notre Dame, Terin was a Division 1 NCAA athlete and a team captain. 

 

Terin lives in Tampa with her husband Jake, kids, Laurel and Max, and their pitbull rescue Cory.
